Soracom adds Industrial SIM to its collection of IoT SIM and eSIM cards

Soracom’s portfolio of Internet of Things (IoT), SIM and eSIM solutions now includes a standard industrial SIM card.

Soracom’s product line now includes eSIMs, SIM cards and industrial-grade iSIMs. The Soracom Industrial SIM is designed for M2M and Internet of Things apps that require a card-type SIM, rather than an electronic SIM.

The Industrial SIM is equipped with a special coating, unique chip properties, and can withstand extreme temperatures, humidity and vibration. It is compatible with Mini, Micro or Nano form-factors. The Industrial SIM offers mobile data coverage for 2G/3G/4G/LTE, Cat-M1 as well as pay-per-use. It is fully compatible with the current GSMA M2M eUICC specification.

Users can also access the Soracom connectivity management platform, API and cloud-native platform to accelerate large-scale IoT deployment.

Kenta Yasukawa is the CTO and founder of Soracom. He said, “We help customers all over the world offload heavy lifting into the cloud in terms that are appropriate for IoT.”

“An industrial-grade SIM with eUICC capability complements our Industrial IoT eSIM offering and lets our customers deploy seamlessly connected solutions in challenging environments. This ensures optimal form factors and maximum durable tailored to their use case.”
