Intelsat FlexEnterprise is Integrated into Deutsche Telekom IoT Cloud-Based Services

By integrating Intelsat FlexEnterprise with its cloud-based Internet of Things offering, Deutsche Telekom IoT hopes to offer powerful and user-friendly IoT services to locations that lack fibre or cellular connectivity.

IoT is being used more and more across a variety of industries. It gathers data from thousands of devices, processes it, and provides new insights about operations and processes. FlexEnterprise can help DT expand its scope and power of its solution, and provide better results for clients.

FlexEnterprise is a ready-to deploy, enterprise-grade, connectivity service that combines satellite and terrestrial networks to extend private networks, cloud networks, and internet networks. Intelsat will manage the worldwide FlexEnterprise Infrastructure, so customers do not need to maintain satellite infrastructure or have technical expertise. By providing FlexEnterprise to DT as a satellite-as-a-service, Intelsat will further save the time and expense associated with operating new services.

The Intelsat FlexEnterprise platform allows mobile network operators to provide services similar to terrestrial networks from anywhere. Industrial IoT clients, for example, can connect devices in hard-to-reach areas, such as wind turbines in mountaintops, oceans, or to analyze flood risks by tracking the water levels at distant locations.
